This web site has mostly been translated into English. Especially the Participant Rules and Regulations were translated with much care so they are equal to the German text.

The translation of most pages into other languages is planned. However the main emphasis will be on the navigation. There will be NO translation of the participation rules & regulation.

Heute ist der große Tag, nämlich der Tag „X“. Sollten es wirklich NUR noch 48,0 km sein? Haben die Läufer WIRKLICH 4.178,5 Kilometer zu Fuß zurückgelegt? Sind die 64 Tage voller Qual, Freude, Emotionen, Wut, Enttäuschung, Hunger, Durst und sonstige Gebrechen schon vorbei? Was heißt aber SCHON? Vielleicht zu ersetzen mit ERST? Was sind das für Gedanken? Ich bin doch nur der Schreiber und nicht der Läufer des TE-FR! Dennoch, auch ich habe 34 Jahre Lauferfahrung hinter mir. Für mich ist das Thema „Ultralangstreckenlauf“ weitgehend abgeschlossen. Aber auch ich habe Läufe mit vielen Tagen und Kilometer hinter mir. Einen Transkontinentallauf? Nein, den habe ich nicht gemacht. Den gab es zu meiner Zeit nur in Amerika und war mir zu teuer. Ich hätte es niemals finanzieren können.
