Matthias hat einiges an "Mehrtageslauf" Erfahrung vorzuweisen: 6-Tagelauf in Kopenhagen, 6-Tagelauf 2005 und 2007 in Erkrath, "Pieter Pad", 48 Std.-Lauf in Brno, und den „Trans Gaule.“ Matthias läuft seit 1998. Den Marathonlauf hat er schon einige Male unter 3 Stunden geschafft. Seine Bestzeit im 6-Std.-Lauf liegt bei 76 km. Die 100 km ist er mit 08:17,42 Std 2007 in Dänemark gelaufen Er liebt das lange Laufen und hier hat er schon viele positive Erfahrungen gemacht. Er erfreut sich an den schönen Erinnerungen. Er bevorzugt in jedem Falle Mehrtagesläufe oder alles was über den klassischen Marathonlauf hinausgeht. „Ich kann noch besser laufen und ich versuche es wieder!“
