Seine Message ist, dass im Leben nichts unmöglich ist.“ 2003 der erste Marathon, der erste Ultralauf in 2004 und 2005 der erste Triathlon. Dezember 2008 waren es dann schon 200 Wettkämpfe mit mindestens 42,2 Kilometern bzw. 175 Marathons und Ultras. Hinzu 47 Ironmandistanzen. Ultra-Trail Mt.-Blanc, Nemea-Olympia, Spartathlon, die letzten 10 DL-Etappen in 2005 und 7 Etappen in 2008. Triathlon: 1-fach-, 2-fach-, 3-fach- und 10-fach Ironman sowie 10 Ironmans in 10 Tagen. Mannschaftsweltmeister 2007 und Deutscher Meister 2008 im 3-fachen Ironman, Weltmeister 2008 im längsten Triathlon der Welt: 10-facher Ironman (38km Schwimmen, 1.800km Radfahren und 422km laufen) und Weltcup-Gesamtsieger des Ultratriathlons in 2008. Marcel ist Botschafter für das Bundesland Brandenburg. Abenteuer: Die Durchquerung eines Kontinentes zu Fuß - teilzunehmen und mit einem internationalen Starterfeld die Botschaft von Völkerverständigung durch Sport in die Welt hinaus zu tragen. Ziel: Alle schwierigen Situationen meistern und nach 4.500 km das Nordkap per Fuß erreichen. Allein der Gedanke Europa zu Fuß zu durchqueren! Die Realität wird für alle von uns ein unvergessliches Erlebnis werden, was uns nachhaltig sehr prägen wird.
